Welcome to Bryony Cottage, a beautifully renovated Lakeland stone cottage tucked away in the heart of Windermere village.
Combining traditional character with thoughtfully styled, contemporary interiors, Bryony Cottage is a welcoming home from home for exploring the Lake District. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and space for up to six guests, it's perfectly suited to family holidays, weekends with friends or a relaxing escape to the Lakes.
One of the cottage's greatest advantages is its location. Windermere's independent shops, cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs are just around the corner, while the train and bus station is only a two-minute walk away, making it wonderfully easy to explore without a car.
For those who love the outdoors, the beautiful viewpoint at Orrest Head is within walking distance, while Bowness-on-Windermere and the shores of Lake Windermere are approximately 20 minutes away on foot.
After a day exploring, return to the comfort of the cottage. Settle into the cosy living room, enjoy dinner together or simply put your feet up and plan tomorrow's adventure.
And because a Lake District escape is even better with your four-legged companion, one well behaved dog is welcome too.
Step inside Bryony Cottage and you'll find a welcoming, thoughtfully styled living room, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Lakes.
With two comfortable two seater sofas and two armchairs, there's plenty of space for all six guests to relax together. Soft furnishings, warm natural textures and carefully chosen details create a cosy, inviting atmosphere.
Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, settling in with a book or watching a film, it's a lovely place to make yourself at home.
The room also features a Smart TV and an electric fireplace, adding warmth and atmosphere on cooler evenings.
Please note that the fireplace is electric and is not a working open fire or wood-burning stove.
Leading through from the living room is the kitchen and dining area, a bright and thoughtfully designed space with contemporary cabinetry, patterned tiles and everything needed for a comfortable self catering stay.
Whether you're preparing breakfast before heading out on a walk, putting together a picnic or enjoying a leisurely dinner at home, the kitchen is well equipped for everyday cooking.
You'll find:
The adjoining dining area provides a comfortable place for everyone to gather over meals, share stories from the day or plan the next adventure.
Bryony Cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished to create a relaxing space to retreat to at the end of the day.

Bedroom Three | King Bedroom with En-Suite
A second king-size bedroom with fresh bed linen, a Smart TV and the added convenience of a private en-suite shower room.
All three bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor.
The cottage has two bathrooms, making it a practical choice for families and groups travelling together.
Family Bathroom
A family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, ideal for both a relaxing soak and a refreshing shower after a day outdoors.
En-Suite Bathroom
Located off one of the king bedrooms, the en-suite features a walk-in shower.
Fresh towels and complimentary guest toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, are provided.
Families and children of all ages are very welcome at Bryony Cottage.
The cottage offers a comfortable base for family adventures, whether you're exploring the lakes, visiting local attractions or enjoying time together indoors.
For guests travelling with little ones, a compact highchair and travel cot are available. Please bring your own cot bedding and sheets.
As with many traditional Lakeland terraced cottages, Bryony Cottage has a relatively steep staircase leading to the first floor, where all three bedrooms and both bathrooms are located.
The top of the staircase is close to the bedroom and family bathroom doorways, so we kindly ask guests to take extra care, particularly when travelling with young children.
Please bear this layout in mind if you're travelling with anyone who may find steep stairs difficult to navigate.
We know that for many guests, a Lake District holiday wouldn't be complete without the dog.
Bryony Cottage welcomes one well-behaved dog, subject to the applicable pet charge.
With beautiful walks, open countryside and dog friendly cafés and pubs nearby, Windermere is a wonderful destination to explore with your four legged companion.
To help us keep the cottage comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that dogs are kept off beds and furniture, are not left unattended in the cottage and that owners clean up after their pets, including muddy paws after a day outdoors.
Please include your dog when making your reservation so the appropriate pet charge can be applied.
Guests have exclusive use of Bryony Cottage throughout their stay.
Self-check-in makes arrival simple and flexible, with access details and instructions provided before check-in.
